Kit Preview : 1/76 SMA Jeep
Kits from now defunct SMA tend to be a mixed bag: great subjects but spotty execution and research. Main parts are resin and details white metal. If you are used to precision engineered plastic models with dozens of detailed pieces, you are in for a shock.
This is the standard Willy/Ford Jeep. The model is a copy of the Matchbox Jeep, which is a good thing. Matchbox only produced a British version with a covered right headlight, making it unsuitable for US versions. SMA took this kit and actually improved it with separate tools and relatively thin folded tilt supports. The model would need additional control levers and new handles.
